BC Athletics Grassroots Track & Field Programs

BC Athletics, a member Branch of Athletics Canada, is the governing sport organization for Athletics - Track & Field, Road Running, Marathons/Ultras, Cross Country/Trail Running, Mountain Running and Race Walking in British Columbia. In partnership with Member Clubs, Individuals and Affiliated Organizations, BC Athletics is responsible for the development, promotion and organization of Athletics / Para-Athletics programs & services for athlete development, coaches and officials training & education, introductory and grassroots programs, competitions and club development.

The BC Athletics Grassroots Track & Field Programs create greater opportunities for children ages 6-13 years old to participate in Athletics through:

• RunJumpThrowWheel school, club, and community programs

• RunJumpThrowWheel instructor workshops

• Youth training & competition opportunities

BC Athletics is pleased to partner with its Member Clubs, the viaSport Regional Alliance, Indigenous communities through ISPARC, Schools, and other organizations to deliver these programs throughout British Columbia.

Aligning with the Athletics Long Term Athlete Development model, the BC Athletics Grassroots Track & Field Programs promote the development of FUNdamental movement skills and physical literacy for individuals of all abilities so that all participants can enjoy engaging in Sport for Life!

You can support the BC Athletics Grassroots Track & Field Program through a tax receiptable donation to the BC Amateur Sport Fund to benefit BC Athletics Project P0384.

Administered by Sport BC, the BC Amateur Sport Fund ("BCASF") is the BC chapter of the Canadian Council of Provincial & Territorial Sport Federations ("CCPTSF"), a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association with charitable status (CRA number 88938 6868 RR0001). The CCPTSF was established in 1980 to benefit amateur sport across Canada by supporting projects like this. The BCASF was previously known as the “National Sport Trust Fund”, or “NSTF”. The Fund changed its name in August 2019 to more accurately reflect its fundraising and granting activities.

* I represent and warrant that I am voluntarily and unconditionally giving this gift to the BC Amateur Sport Fund (BCASF), the BC chapter of the Canadian Council of Provincial & Territorial Sport Federations Inc. (CCPTSF) to benefit the development of amateur sport in Canada on a nation-wide basis. I understand that the BCASF can direct my donation to an amateur sport cause of its choice, however my preference is that my gift be used to support the project selected above. Consistent with Canada Revenue Agency’s interpretations of “qualifying donations”, I confirm that no material benefit will accrue to me or related parties as a result of this donation and that this gift does not or will not reduce any obligation, directly or indirectly, that I or related parties have for “non qualifying” expenses such as membership dues, training, or program registration fees, travel costs or other like expenses that I or related parties would normally be required to pay.
